Phestival picks: Festival Essentials! (COMPETITION!)

Today, Phestival are launching a competition for a handy wash bag full of festival essentials! We’re all for sharing our favourite tips and tricks of the trade and so have made a little goody bag of some of our favourite items to help prepare one of our readers for their festivals this summer. The prize includes:

Sunglasses – No festival outfit is complete (rain or shine!) without a good pair of sunglasses. Not only are they great for doing their keeping-sun-out-of-eyes duties, but they look good and can really set off your outfit choice. These mirrored aviators will go with absolutely everything and aren’t specific to either sex, so male or female you’re guaranteed to look pretty damn good.

Poncho – Ponchos are a fantastic addition to your festival rucksack for a multitude of reasons. They’re light, so they don’t take up much room or weight when you’re heaving your stuff across site, but they’re also great for keeping out the rain when the heavens decides to open. And even if it doesn’t rain, you can open it out and sit on it if you fancy – a multi purpose product!

Dry Shampoo – In the Phestival office, Batiste’s Dry Shampoo is somewhat of a holy grail product – and we don’t just use it for festivals! It’s amazing at helping reduce natural dirt and grease from your hair and providing it with a new lease of life, and also has the ability to give your hair some much needed volume after a few days of weather, partying and lack of showers get in the way of your usual routine.

Stargazer Neon Paint – With so many festivals this summer catering to the inner party animal, with DJs and techno artists aplenty, Stargazer’s neon paints are a great way to embrace the party atmosphere. Not just for your face, these paints can be used on your body too.

Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel – Anti-bacterial hand gel is perfect for post-portaloo experiences, before food, after food and for whenever you just need a quick pick me up for your hands. Most brands claim to help kill around 99% of bacteria so it’s a great product to use at festivals, especially when queues for the water points feel ten miles long and your mainstage headliner is due on in a few minutes.

Wet Wipes – Wet wipes or baby wipes are one of the ultimate festival essentials when it comes to maintaining some sense of hygiene on a muddy field. They become a substitute for showers and taps, are a life saver when you’re covered in mud or for when you feel a bit (let’s be honest) rank. They’re also pretty handy for taking your make up or face paints off too!

Wash Bag -Well, we couldn’t just send you all your bits and pieces dancing around in an envelope could we? For good measure, a handy wash bag for keeping all your toiletries and essentials in one place.
