Tomorrow’s Hit Factory Live day festival has been cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
The day event, curated by Pete Waterman, was due to play host to performances from Steps, Jason Donovan, Kylie Monogue and more but has had to be cancelled last minute due to Hyde Park being in an ‘unfit state’ due to poor weather over the weekend teamed with the large amount of festival goers that descended upon the park for Barclaycard’s Wireless Festival this weekend.
Despite efforts to get the site in to a manageable state, poor ongoing weather has prevented success meaning that it was too much of a risk to ‘staff and music fans’ being ‘too great for the event to go ahead’ organisers said.
It’s a great shame for all involved with Hit Factory Live – especially (ha!) as it was reuniting Jason and Kylie for a rare performance of their hit Especially for You. For those who have tickets, please keep an eye on the Live Nation site for updates about whether ticket refunds are possible/likely. Please also note that all other events scheduled to take place at Hyde Park will be taking place.
