The term festival fashion is thrown about regularly these days, and with a multitude of festivals on each weekend it’s not surprising that more and more people are wanting to look as good as they do in daily life as opposed to sacrificing their usual style. We at Phestival have decided to post a look a day for a short while with some of our festival fashion ideas. We created this using Polyvore, a website designed to allow you to discover new fashion or create your own look boards. Here’s our first look:

Wellingtons: Hunter, Jeans: MOTO by Topshop, Top: H&M, Cape: Topshop, Sunglasses: Topshop,
Necklace: Forever 21, Bag: Topshop.
As you can see, using a mix of high street brands and the ever famous Hunter Boots company, I’ve created a simple yet comfortable festival outfit. I teamed high waist jeans with an oversized tee which can be tucked in or left loose, and used a thick-knit floral cape for warmth. The outfit in itself is basic – but teamed with accessories it’s perfect for a festival. The Forever 21 Necklace adds a much needed splash of colour and will look fantastic when set against the minty green tee, the sunglasses and bag both useful necessary accessories. I picture this look being perfect for festivals like Latitude, Isle of Wight or maybe Bestival.. where good weather isn’t necessarily guaranteed and jeans and a cape will be great for ensuring you look good whilst staying warm. You’d even be able to pop an extra cardigan underneath as the evening draws closer. And if the sun does decide to shine, all you need to do is remove the cape and you’re all set.
I personally love taking jeans to a festival – skinny jeans stay close to your legs so provide the warmth, but can be tucked in to your boots meaning you can avoid them getting wet and muddy which is a massive source of discomfort at a festival. As well as this, they’re easy to team with a whole host of other clothing items so if you wake up to see another gloomy day, you can mix and match your outfits and create a look you didn’t even plan to make sure you’re ready for your next day of music, drinks, and dancing.
