International Radio Festival – The Olympic Pop-Up Edition!

The world’s first dedicated pop-up radio on DAB London will kick off soon!

It’s not just summer festivals that capture the attention of music lovers, but radio festivals too. This year will see an incredible addition to the ranks – with the IRF introducing an Olympic 2012 special to the airwaves.

Following the enormous success of its Second Edition, the organisers of IRF are pleased to announce that they will be creating an Olympic Pop-Up edition in London. The world’s first and foremost forum for contemporary radio and broadcasting will share their knowledge and present the créme de la créme of Radio including Tony Blackburn, Ed Stewart and Emperor Rusko who will reprise their shows from the legendary pirate ships of the 60s.

Now, acting as a self-professed ‘acoustic flame’ in London during the 2012 olympics, the IRF pop-up radio will broadcast at the House of Switzerland from 20th of July to 12th August 2012 on a temporary London-wide DAB frequency as a dedicated lifestyle event and festival radio show. The radio will include the likes of:

Tony Prince, Martyn Ware, Eddie Piller, Danielle Perry, Karen P, Ministry of Sound Radio, Hoxton FM, Camp Bestival and Montreux Jazz Festival. Schedules are as follows:
