If you’re local to Liverpool, you’ll know that it’s common knowledge that The Kazimier is one of the city’s best venues. Actually, if I was to think about it more, I’m unsure that I could find a venue in England that anywhere near matches my love for the venue. It’s decent sized, and featured a plush red box office in the entrance. You step through the doors to see bars on opposite ends, a ‘sunken’ dance floor, balconies with ‘K’ emblems worked in to the designs and many a happy musical-lover enjoying the surrounding space. Not only does it regularly put on an incredible array of acts (Foals 2010, forever in my heart), but it’s recently expanded to include a temporary garden space. Cue, Festevol Gardens.

EVOL have joined up with the Kazimier to provide you with two weekend events taking place across two Saturdays this month – the 4th and 11th. The event will showcase some new and original music from artists/bands from Liverpool and further across the North West, all whilst set in the new and unique Kazimier. The event will make use of the indoor stage as well as a purpose-built stage in the new garden area. EVOL Residents and their friends will be manning the ‘smoking garden’ area and there will be some fantastic barbecued delights from the fantastic chefs at The Kazimier and firm favourite of ours, Mello Mello. What’s especially great about the FestEvol gardens event is that they truly go the extra mile – beyond the already inspiring additional space, they’ll also be introducing an artistic dimension in the form of a mini Screenedelica exhibition, hosted by Horse with screen prints of Previous EVOL shows.
