Here at Phestival, we’re dedicated advocates of the Bestival/Camp Bestival cause. We absolutely love our experiences of Bestival and would be keen to experience the latter to see how it measures up. Despite having never been, we’ve read enough positive reviews and seen enough Tweets about the event to know that it’s set to be amazing year in and year out. This year, the festival took place this year from 26-29th July 2012 to resounding success – read our round up of events here.
Following such successes, a limited number of early bird tickets (including the option to set out a payment plan!) have been released for Camp Bestival which will take place during August 2013. The family friendly festival will take place from 1st-4th August at Lulworth Castle and its surrounding grounds in Dorset. Whilst no acts have been announced yet, you can expect good things – this year saw performances from the likes of Rob Da Bank (also the curator!), Hot Chip, Happy Mondays, Kool and the Gang, The English National Ballet, Shrek the Musical, Keith Allen, and much more. There will also be bouncy castles, games, dancing, literature, comedy, late night parties for the adults, arts and crafts, spoken word and no doubt a whole array of other activities to occupy you and your fellow festival-goers.
Tickets for 2013 will be priced as follows:
- Adult Weekend Ticket: £175, or £185 should you choose to arrive on the Thursday as opposed to the Friday.
- Teen Weekend Ticket: A weekend ticket with camping for a teen (aged 15-17 on 01/08/2013) will be priced at £110, or £115 with Thursday arrival.
- Child Weekend Ticket: A ticket for a child aged 11-14 will be priced at £95.
Please note that all teens (11-17) must camp in the same area as their families, with a maximum of two teens per adult over the age of thirty. Children under eleven years of age on 1st August 2013 can attend for free but must have a child ticket, which you can select upon booking the rest of your tickets. These ticket holders must be accompanied by a parent/guardian with a ticket over the age of twenty one.
Should you wish to bring a caravan/campervan on site, you must have a ticket to accompany your arrival. This will be priced at £70 per vehicle for 2013 and can be purchased in advance online via the official ticket retailer’s websites. Advanced car parking passes will be priced at £10 – £15 should you choose to purchase these on the day. Interested? Grab your Camp Bestival 2013 tickets here!
